BRIDGET TELLS ALL ~

Arbonne model is wearing anti-aging ~

Bridget, what is Arbonne? How did you become involved and what makes them so special?

Arbonne International is a Premium Swiss Skin Care and Health and Wellness company that was started 30 years ago by a scientist who wanted better products for his family. Arbonne products are all botanically-based, not chemically-based. Arbonne’s company motto is Pure…Safe…Beneficial.

Arbonne is formulated in Switzerland at their own research and development facility known as AIRD. I learned about Arbonne last spring as I was looking for better products for my own family. Last year at this time, my 17 year old son was going through cancer treatment for Hodgkins Lymphoma. I wanted to try to detoxify our home, skincare and nutrition. I had the great fortune to meet Deana Wilkinson, who is an Executive National Vice President and my coach at Arbonne. Deana lives in Salt Lake City Utah and has been helping others with Arbonne for over 20 years.

Deana educated me about the benefits of Arbonne, of both the products and the business opportunity. Once I learned about both aspects of Arbonne, I was committed to starting my own Arbonne business and helping others through their outstanding products and business system.

Arbonne is unique in that it’s formulations are held to Swiss and European standards. What is important about Arbonne is what they do not put into their products! Arbonne is committed to the development of unparalleled products free of harmful ingredients, using a combination of botanical principles and scientific discovery. Their commitment begins with research and testing to ensure that each of the ingredients meets or exceeds industry standards for purity.

Arbonne products are Vegan certified: The formulas are never tested on animals and do not contain animal derived ingredients or animal by-products. Arbonne firmly believes that consumers have a fundamental right to know every ingredient in its products and offers full disclosure through its published materials.

Arbonne personal care products are formulated without:
· Animal products or animal by-products
· Formaldehyde donating preservatives
· Petroleum based ingredients
o Benzene
o Mineral Oil
o Petrolatum
o Phthalates
o Toluene
° PABA

Arbonne is also committed to responsible environmental practices in their manufacturing and sourcing of products.

What are some of your favorite products?

Arbonne has over 400 products so choosing favorites is very difficult! The
Anti Aging Facial System Nutrimin C RE 9 is by far, the best facial system available. Each of the products contains 9 key anti aging ingredients to hydrate, stimulate and rejuvenate skin. I also love the detoxification products that are derived from sea botanicals. This product line is called SeaSource Detox Spa and contains wonderful marine-based products including a Foaming Salt Scrub, Purifying SeaSoak, Renewing Body Gelee and even a 7 Day Cleanse Dietary Supplement. These products actually remove toxins in our skin including heavy metals, pollution, chemicals in the air and on our clothing.

Our skin is our largest organ and what we put on our skin can reach our internal organs in as little as 26 seconds. Arbonne also has wonderful vitamins and nutritional supplements for kids, teens, women and men.

The Arbonne make up products are truly “good for you” products that contain key botanicals such as Grapeseed Extract, Camellia Oil and Aloe Vera Extract.

Arbonne offers tremendous value in their products, by purchasing Arbonne products you are getting premium Swiss Skincare and science.

How are they beneficial to healthier, happier living?

We are better off any time we can use naturally occurring products rather than using the chemical counterparts. Arbonne’s products have helped so many people to feel better about themselves and improve their health and appearance. Arbonne’s products, company philosophy and business system have brought health, wellness and prosperity to many, many people in many countries.

In addition to the incredible products, being a direct sales company, Arbonne gives people the opportunity to work at their own pace, in their own time and be as successful as they can or want to be. This system is giving many people the opportunity to own their own business and that definitely adds to people’s sense of well being and happiness. One of the biggest source of stress right now is financial insecurity. An Arbonne business can be built along side a current job as a second stream of income or as a singular business - both come with the benefit of being your own boss.

Arbonne consultants come from all fields and backgrounds, especially teachers, medical professionals, hair and skin care professionals, stay at home moms and business executives. There are many couples that have created an Arbonne business allowing one or both to retire from their job. Arbonne provides excellent coaching and while you may be in business for yourself you are never by yourself. There is tremendous support from Arbonne. This is an empowering company!

Are there any great holiday buys to share with us?

Every holiday season Arbonne offers “Nature’s Garden” fragrances and gift sets. These luxury fragrances of Star Jasmine Tuberose and Black Orchid Cassis are sold individually and in beautifully packaged gift sets. Arbonne offers specials on all their holiday fragrances. The luxury gift set that contains Body Lotion, Body and Shower Gelee, Body Mist and Body Crème is normally a $105 value, and it is offered at $94.50. That is less than $25 each product! This is just one example of their product specials and they have several “purchase with purchase” specials. Great Holiday gifts begin at $6!

Also, when you host a Skincare Workshop, you receive a very generous discount, and by becoming an Arbonne Preferred Client you are eligible for a 20% discount on all the products all year long!

I am currently scheduling Workshops in Jan and Feb. This is an excellent time to learn about the Arbonne Spa and Anti Aging products and keeping skin healthy in the cold winter months. Everyone needs a little pampering!

HO, HO, HO HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

A BIG THANK YOU TO Twittermoms.com!, I had never really verbalized any of these thoughts before!

Many years ago I received a handmade cross made from beads and safety pins. A very good friend of mine stopped by and kept staring at it and finally shared that they were offended. It made me realize that I needed to be sensitive to the beliefs of all people and especially of the people who mean something to me.

I have enjoyed STAPLES because I make my business cards there, purchase ALL of my kid's school supplies, our ink, my camera and shop there for my parents (faxes, ink, shredders) because - it's accessible, the staff is always friendly and helpful while the stores are organized in such a way making it easy for old timers to navigate!

I must admit, since my Gran passed away almost 20 years ago, I have never regained the Holiday Spirit. It drained me and honestly I could find no joy.

I did not have a child when she passed. Once I did, I had to really work at it to make them special for him. The First Holiday was a barrage of gifts, relatives and food. My child sat and played with the paper!

As time has passed, I have learned that for my household and our spiritual belief, the reason for the season is Jesus Christ and what he represents. But what about my other brothers and sisters and what they believe?

When my son was about 5, I quickly began implementing a "practice what you preach" approach.

We have made every effort, together as a family, to make the holidays a season of community and global embracing.

Now I am happy to celebrate again.

Using office supplies to send personal cards that we have made highlighting the great things we have done all year is where we typically begin. I usually choose a fun photo that symbolizes a special moment and then update friends and loved ones about how we've spent our months.

Additionally, I like to shop meaningfully and encourage people I know to spend money wisely on either things that are really needed or things that make people's lives better.

Shopping on charitable websites to benefit families around the world is a favorite. Coordinating holiday drives for less fortunate is also top on our lists. Staples makes that easy because you can purchase so many of folk's needs all in one stop.

It is also important that everyone in my family acknowledge that not everyone is celebrating Christmas. ALL holidays during the season should be acknowledged and supported. We are one globe. One mankind and using digital technology has really been an excellent way to touch one another and hug each others hearts ~ all in the name of the Holiday Season!

How about you guys? What is your view on the Holidays? What do you celebrate? Do you include people from other faiths so they can learn about what is important to your heart? How do you serve your community during the holidays?

Sprint ~ Say What? Cell for kids!

This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Sprint

How you keep the lines of communication open with your children as they grow older and gain more freedom.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The entire idea of cell phones is preposterous!
Carrying around a means of communication in your pocket when people used to use street lamps is really quite the deal.
At 8 years old {many, many,many moons ago} I could be climbing mountains in Taiwan or slaying dragons in a battle or being a mermaid under the sea – but once the street lights began to flicker on, I had best high-tail it home or risk having all the skin filleted from my thighs.
Nowadays, minute to second communication is a must.
When my son turned 8 years old, he began begging for his own cell phone. I related my story to him. He cried. He had no idea that making a phone call in my era was a precursor to the emergency room. My mom would answer the call with “You better be dead” or “You wasted a dime, you better be dead”.
After circulating my very responsible and incredibly academic son's request around other moms at his school, I began to see it for the tool it was.
I then began to actually contemplate the idea and began to think:
*It would be nice to let him know when I am running late so he is not nervously waiting for me.
*It would be nice if he decided he would like to go home with a friend, he could obtain immediate confirmation.
*If I forgot his lunch I could find out before noon and let him know I am on my way.
*I could text him in stores if I felt brave enough to let him go down the aisle. Or maybe, if I thought he needed a smile, I could text him one.
Sappy as it sounds, I LIKE my kid and would enjoy communicating with him every second of the day!
All of the things many parents, including myself, deal with {or sometimes without} can now be readily amended. Not to mention we can address safety concerns with Global Positioning System.
Five years have passed since I made the decision to add an additional SPRINT line to my phone just for my kid.
He has lost it once {baseball practice}, dropped it the commode once {don't ask, but it dried out quite nicely, no need for repair} and has upgraded so much – well, let's just say, I would REALLY like the Pre but someone has the Instinct – but that's just fine by me. I know he is alive, I can share my day with him and thank goodness for NO DROPPED calls! THANKS SPRINT.
